The requirements/conditions of all of these roles are as follows:

  • Previous experience of work related experience is preferred but not essential as training will be provided
  • Previous experience of contact with disabled people is preferred but not essential as training will be provided
  • We are particularly looking for people to volunteer on Saturdays, but -
  • We are fully open to negotiation over days and hours to volunteer, except when specifically described below

Volunteer Fundraiser (Croydon)

Your role will be to access funds to enable the continuing work of CentrePoint.  You will be responsible for all fundraising activity, and for leading a Fundraising Team.  You will contribute to long-term planning and attend team meetings.

Project Coordinator

·         Community Integration (London-wide)

·         Employment Services (Croydon).  A project providing work skills for the disAbled

·         Short breaks (Croydon & Bromley).  A project providing short breaks for carers

You will be required to develop the scope and size of one of these projects, as well as working with clients and planning for the future of the project, whilst managing the project team

Project & Site Coordinator (Beckenham, Bromley)

For the Allotment & Social Enterprising Project

You will be required to develop the size & scope of this project, manage the allotment, work with client, plan for the future of the project and manage the project team

An interest in gardening is essential, and project management experience very desirable

Volunteer IT Administrator (West Croydon)

Duties will include, but are not limited to, liaising with the Managing Director and finance & HR administrator’s over the use of IT (Word, Excel etc) in their work, managing & editing the organisation’s website through the software ‘Joomla!’ and creating and managing various databases

Computer literacy is a must for this role, whilst experience of using Joomla! to edit websites is desirable 

This role could be based partly from home, and would be ideal for anyone looking to volunteer for 2-3 days a week

Activity Buddy (Trinity School, Shirley)

You will support/befriend/motivate disAbled people as part of our disAbility football club, playing a vital role in helping to break down barriers to participation for the disAbled i.e. access, communication, social & psychological.

The football club runs on Saturdays only, during the school year

This role is perfect for someone looking to volunteer just on Saturdays

You will lead activity buddies as they provide support to disAbled people as part of our disability football club, organising their training, liaising with colleagues regarding the number and recruitment of buddies and overseeing the evaluation of buddies

The football club runs on Saturdays only, during the school year

This role is perfect for someone looking to volunteer just on Saturdays

You will be supporting trainees in their local community, in vocational settings i.e. Commercial Kitchen, Allotment/Market Garden and supporting trainees Individual Learning Plan under the supervision and guidance of their tutors, and attending relevant programme meetings
